The VELUX CFU Fixed base unit must used with a VELUX top covering. Choose between the New Generation Curved Glass cover or New Generation Flat Glass cover.

The New Generation Flat Roof Base features a slim frame and invisible sash to provide maximum daylight and a beautiful design from inside the home, even with a blind installed.

Product Details

CurveTech: Innovative curve shape lets rainwater easily drain off, ensuring clearer sky views and more daylight, even on 0°-pitched roofs.
Insulated PVC curb and two-layer pane: An ideal combination of insulating PVC frame and double-paned, low-energy inner glass ensures heat doesn’t escape, so your ideal indoor climate is maintained.
Maintenance-free design:The curved glass shape provides natural drainage of rainwater – no need to regularly clean the surface – while toughened glass makes it virtually impervious to damage from the elements.
The values are obtained in accordance with NFRC procedures:
U-factor = 0.30 SHGC = 0.42 Visible Transmittance (Vt) = 0.58

Type of Glass

Flat Glass (ISU 2093):

Externally the plane glass design with contemporary black bordering makes for a minimalist window that is particularly attractive in residential buildings. Pleasing to the eye, the flat glass units feature a flat 4mm toughened glass pane with silk screen printed rim. Externally they offer a contemporary appearance and an upgrade from the traditional polycarbonate dome. ( Winner of the Reddot award 2021 in the category “Product design)

Curved Glass (ISU 1093):

Velux have developed CurveTech technology, which is featured in the VELUX curved glass rooflight, an innovative curve-shaped glass top that lets rainwater easily drain off the surface even on 0° pitched roofs. That means daylight is able to shine through without raindrops being an obstruction.The curved glass is practically maintenance free. The shape provides natural drainage of rainwater so no need to regularly clean the surface. Toughened glass makes it virtually impervious to damage from the elements.

The 3-layer glass construction with Double glazed base ensures optimal energy performance. The Insulating PU frame and two-layer low-energy pane for very good energy efficiency and sound reduction.
